The cookery school is located on a working small-holding in the beautiful and relaxing Anglesey countryside near to the scenic Dulas estuary.
Ron, the chef and owner is professionally qualified and has worked in a five star restaurant. Margaret, his wife, has over thirty-five years’ experience in developing, delivering and quality assuring training.
Workshop sessions in June 2018
Make traditional hand-raised pork pies and tangy piccalilli
£40 per person
Dates: Wednesday 6th June, 13th June, 20th June, 27th June
Suitable for beginners or for aspiring bakers!
During the afternoon, you will learn how to create a traditional hand-raised pork pie using a traditional pork pie “dolly” and make the piccalilli which is such a great accompaniment. The workshop will end with a tasting session. You will take away with you the goodies you have baked.
Pizza-making for beginners
£50 per person
Dates: Thursday 7th June, 14th June, 21st June, 28th June
This course is suitable for beginners or aspiring chefs. This is a practical, hands on workshop where you will learn how to make a traditional pizza base, tomato sauce and a range of toppings. You will also learn how to make a variety of Italian breads.
Weather-permitting, you may be able to use the outdoor as well as the indoor oven.
Make your own sausage, bacon and black-pudding
£70 per person
Dates: Friday 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June, 29th June
This course is for beginners or aspiring chefs who want to learn how to make the tasty sausage and bacon we sell in our farm shop. On this course, you will learn how to butcher a pork loin and turn it into traditional dry-cured bacon. You will also learn how to make a variety of flavoured sausages and our best-selling black pudding.
Build your own wood-fired cob oven
£75 per person
Dates: Thursday 7th June, 14th June
This course is for beginners, aspiring chefs and those who love outdoor cooking. This is a practical, hands-on session where you and others on the course will build an outdoor clay cob oven together. The process will be modelled for you by the course tutor. Group of four only, so everyone can take part in the building process.

Arrival time for all cookery workshops is 1.00pm for 1.15pm. Arrival time for the cob-building workshop is 10am for 10.15am start. All courses finish around 4.30pm.

Terms and Conditions
Payment is required prior to the course. We take card and cash in the farm shop and accept card payments over the phone.
Fees are payable at least a week in advance. Cancellations – fully refundable if cancelled more than seven days in advance; 50% refundable if cancelled seven – three days in advance. Cancelled less than three days in advance – the payment is not refunded.
All ingredients, materials, equipment and recipes will be provided.
